Pitch
We decided that we wanted to have extreme make up on the zombies to make them look as realistic as we possibly could. We took a lot of time doing the make up because we wanted it to look effective like in other Horror films we've been looking at. We also wanted to have quick shots of the zombies running across the field like they were chasing a terrified victim because in our opening title sequence we wanted to have short, quick shots. We also thought we would have a lab scene in our opening title sequence and show the scientists doing experiments on one of the zombies. With the costumes we decided white T-shirts were the best option to wear because the fake blood would show up on them and it would look really effective.
We chose to film our opening title sequence on the school field because we wanted the fast shots of the zombies running across the field. Also we used the skate park at the back of the field to film part of our sequence, when we had caught the victim. We used the skate park to make our opening title sequence different to other zombie films because we didn't want it being filmed in a house or building as we thought it would be too similar to other zombie movies. We wanted to make it appealing to the audience watching our opening title sequence, by making them think our Horror looks different to all the other films of that genre.
